It's been a long, hot and BUSY summer for us and we are looking forward to throttling back a bit as we coast into fall. Lobster prices were much better for the consumer in 2022 and they remain at the lowest levels of the season. We will be open 8-5 over the weekend and will be here for half a day Monday, 8-1. It is STRONGLY suggested that you place your orders ASAP so you'll get what you want. Please call us at least 15 minutes before you arrive so your order will be ready when you walk in; we maintain a 4 customer limit inside and people who just show up without calling first cause unnecessary gridlock and confusion. And at our age, Mom and I don't need help getting confused!
Striper fishing never slacked off all summer and they are still way up in the estuary as well as along the beaches. Live mackerel, pogies and our sand worms have been the best bait. Trolling our handmade tubes with a worm has converted many longtime "fishers" into "catchers"! This season we are getting good reports of BIG bluefish over 30 inches, including one caught in Tide Mill Creek last weekend 31" long! We stock deep-diving Rapalas AND steel leaders if you want to go out for the blues. Time to go fish.
